What not to do in order to fix somethingposted Jul 30th 2007, 11:35PM
So today, I woke up, went and made breakfast, put the orange juice to my right and the waffles to my left. I went to reach for the mouse and spilled the orange juice all over everything to my right. There was one casualty:
The drawing tablet pen.
I would not have this. This was crap. The orange juice was bound to stick to the innards of the pen and make everything not work forever, so I devised many plans in order to get it to work.
1. I let it sit in table cleaner for 15 minutes and waited for it to dry off.
2. I held it in front of a vaccuum for 5 minutes.
3. I dipped it in hydrogen peroxide.
4. I tried sucking it out with my lips.
5. I tied it to one of the spokes on my bicycle and hoped centripetal force would fix it.
After trying all of this, I think I might have just destroyed the pen rather than fixed it. Not only does it not function correctly now and is just plainly a sticky mess, it just doesn't work anymore. Period. It's the pen for sure. I checked the mouse/tablet and that works perfectly.
